Becky (Brien) Hill, Class of 1971

Becky was born in Fort Eustix, Virginia on February 12, 1953 toFred and Ida Jo Brien and passed away May 16, 2008 in SanAntonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grand-
parents Fred and Ernez Brien and Vernon and Eunice Brien and Vernon and Eunice Call; father Fred Brien; aunt, Liz Sanders and son Taylor Lee Hill.

Becky moved to Del Rio, Texas at 9 months old and later began school at St. James Episcopal School. She was the last grad- uating class of the Del Rio Wildcats in 1971. In December 1974, she received a degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University where she was a member of the Strutters Drill Team and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
 
After graduating from college she returned to Del Rio, married Terry Hill and began teaching elementary school. After raising two children in Del rio, she moved to San Antonio in 1998 and taught at Huebner Elementary for 8 years. After 28 years of teaching, she retired in 2005 and then began a new career at Baker and Anderson Custom Homes where she continued to work despite her illness.
 
Becky is survived by her loving and devoted partner. Glynn Nickerson of San Antonio; her children, Natalie Hill of San Antonio; Trevor Hill and wife Cristy of Del Rio; her grand- children, Ricky, Tyler and Trevor Hill of Del Rio; Glynn’s children, Matthew, Blake, and Chase Nickerson; her mother Ida Jo Brien of San Antonio; her brother, Courtney Brien and wife Cindy of Houston; and her uncle, Joe Sanders of San Antonio. The family extends their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Martha Garza, Dr Steven Kalter and Dr. A. J. White along with the entire staff at South Texas Oncology and Hermatology and the nursing staff on the 4th Floor North at Methodist Hospital.
 
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Del Rio, Texas.
 
Service will be held Sunday, May 18th, at 4 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
 
Graveside service will be held Monday, May 19th, 2008 at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Del Rio, TX
