Susan Cottle Leonard, 66, passed away on 5-7-2015 in Colorado Springs, Co, with her daughters at her side. She was born to the late Gerald Cottle and Cora Maguire Cottle in Del Rio, TX on 3-24-1949.
She graduated from high school in Del Rio, raised three children and had a varied career. Susan had a love of life and adventure, and worked as a welder, lifeguard, newspaper reporter, tourism director and veterinarian assistant. She was an avid reader, a fashionista and a kind, gentle person who never had a negative word to say about anyone.
Susan was predeceased by husband Charles Leonard of San Angelo and survived by three children: Lynn Jacobs of Colorado Springs; John Gerald Whistler of Pflugerville; and Bliss Dijulio of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Susan’s life will be held July 8th from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Whitehead Memorial Museum.
