In 1980 she married Alva Otto Baker, Jr. and moved to Comstock, Texas. Alva and Brenda were married for 40 years. Daughter Renee Munoz of Austin, daughter Misty and her husband Shirl Marshall of Austin, son Bubba and his wife Loeta Baker of Comstock and daughter Wendy and her husband David Hammon of Fort Worth.

Brenda retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after serving as a loyal and dedicated travel counselor for over 20 years at the Judge Roy Bean Travel and Information Center. She enjoyed gardening and had a passion for butterflies and kitties. A wonderful cook, she was well known for her enchiladas and chocolate fudge. She loved spending time with her brothers and sisters Arma Jean Winn, Kelly and Susan Goble, Debbie Churchwell, Mark and Debra Goble and Gayle Goble and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and looked forward to family reunions every year.

Her greatest enjoyment, however, was in the company of her grandchildren who lovingly knew her as “Nana”.
