George Truett Hunnicut (Class of 1945) Obituary

 

George Truitt Honeycutt, 88 passed away on Sunday July 26th. He was born on September 25th, 1926 in Del Rio, Texas to parents Nathaniel B. and Ila Belle Honeycutt.

Known as Truitt, at a young age he traveled to Mexico with his family and began a life of the “cowboy way”. Truitt managed and worked on some of the largest and well known ranches in Mexico and Texas. His first love was “the ranch”, but he also drove trucks for the Hunt Family and numerous other companies. He thought there was nothing better than seeing the country from the back of a good horse. Truitt was well known for his ability to entertain family and friends with stories of his lifetime.
