Glenn Rex Benson, 73, passed away October 29, 2009 at his home in Del Rio, Texas. He was born May 9, 1936 in Hunt, Texas.
Glenn retired from the local school system working from 1959-1998. Glenn was also a member of the Elks Lodge 837.
He is survived by his daughters: Andrea M. Hyslop and her husband Carlos of Del Rio, Texas; Alisa Nemec and husband Jeremy of San Antonio; mother: Josie of Hunt, Texas; brother: Bud Benson of Hunt, Texas; grandchildren: Benson, Charlie and Jax Hyslop of Del Rio, Texas and Owen, Jackson and Hope Nemec of San Antonio, Texas; and closest friend: Billy Foster of Langtry, Texas. His father George Benson preceded him in death.
Pallbearers are Jay Taylor, Wayne Calk, W.C. Foster, Justin Foster, Larry Harrington, Herb Corum, D.V.D and Jack Henson.
Visitations on Sunday, 11:00A.M until service time, November 1, 2009 at G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Chapel service will be celebrated Sunday, 2:00P.M, November 1, 2009 with Deacon John Graf officiating.
Graveside service will be on Monday, 1:00P.M, November 2, 2009, Hunt Cemetery, Hunt, Texas.
