Guy "Bubba" Tidwell (Class of 1964) Obituary

Guy "Bubba" Tidwell, 70, of Porter, Texas, passed away on May 2nd 2017 in Humble, TX. Bubba Tidwell was born in Del Rio, Texas to Guy Tidwell Sr. and Betty Tidwell on May 18, 1946. He was raised in Del Rio with his sisters and brother where he attended North Heights Elementary and graduated from Del Rio High School. Furthering his education, Bubba attended Sul Ross State University.

On January 23, 1971, Bubba was united in marriage to Joyce Smith. He worked as an electrical sales manager for Houston Wire  and Cable for over 30 years. His customers were friends first and customers second. Bubba enjoyed watching sports and westerns.  It didn't matter what sports or western was on, he loved watching them. What he loved most was drinking beer and telling stories. His stories would always start out, "We were riding around drinking beer". Whenever Bubba had free time, he loved going to Cowboy Camp in Del Rio to spend time with his friends, While at Cowboy Camp, Bubba always wore his top hat and had a beer in one hand and a cigar in the other one. 

He was preceded in death by his Father Guy Tidwell Sr and Mother Betty Tidwell. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Joyce, his sons Brandon Tidwell, Bryan Tidwell and Coby Tidwell. Services will be held in Kingwood, Texas on May 11th. You may post messages on this website.
