Louis James (Jimmy) LaCrosse, age 83, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on December 30, 1925 in Del Rio, Texas to Julian & Carrie LaCrosse. He graduated from Del Rio High School in 1943.
Louis served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. Among his accomplishments, he was a school teacher/coach in several public schools of Texas, an estate and gift tax attorney for the government and retired from SAISD in 1990. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary M. LaCrosse; children, Barbara Sharon Wiggins & husband, Jim, Louis Jerome LaCrosse & wife, Josie, Carrie Jane Tierney & husband, Larry and Lowell Julian LaCrosse; grandchildren, Tiffani Heidebrecht & husband, Brian, Candice Kelley & husband, Chris, James Wiggins & wife, Cassie, Clifton Tierney & wife, Lauren, Ryan Tierney, Shana LaCrosse and Leo LaCrosse; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Jonathan, Dylon, Colin and Ryan; brother, Terry LaCrosse & wife, Diana; sister, Nancy LaCrosse; and other loving family. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 27, 2009 with Rev. Vernon Welshans officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
