John Lee Kallinger, Class of 1963

John Lee Kallinger, 64, passed away at a local hospital on May 28, 2010 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born October 28, 1945 in Del Rio, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Pauline Kallinger; sons: Justin L. Kallinger and wife Tammy of Yuma, AZ and Andy L. Kallinger of Del Rio, TX; sisters: Linda Pavliska and husband William of Arlington, TX and Brenda Neuman and husband Grover of San Antonio, TX; brother: Paul Kallinger Jr. and wife Debbye of Harker Heights, TX; grandson: Jakub Lane Kallinger and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother: Paul William Kallinger Sr. and Anna Marie Bolner.

The family wishes to give Special “Thanks” to all the friends at their side who were the first responders.

John touched the community in many different ways through out his coaching and teaching career. He dedicated his life to family and friends. He was an avid animal lover.

Visitations will be on Tuesday, 6-9:00P.M, June 1, 2010 at G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary vigil at 7:00P.M.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, 10:00A.M, June 2, 2010 at Scared Heart Catholic Church officiated by Father Jim Fischler CICM, followed with interment at Scared Heart Cemetery.

Pallbearers are J.J. Foster, Bobby Paul, Cesar Casillas, Jimmy Estes, Greg Nebel and Richard “Bump” Elliott.

Honorary pallbearers are Robert Stecklein, Billy Bowers, Bob Matzig, Jorge Ramon, Harris Reb Elige, Chris Stratton and Humberto Garza.

In lieu of Usual Remembrances donations can be made to the Del Rio Friends of Animals.
