Juan M. Ramirez, age 93, entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, December 27, 2020 with his daughter, Olga, by his side. Juan was born to Catarino and Carmen Ramirez on January 2, 1927 in Del Rio, Texas. Preceding him in death were, his parents Catarino and Carmen Ramirez, wife of 63 years, Elida, Son, Juan Ramirez Jr., Grandson, John Jason Ramirez, Son-in-law, Guadalupe De Leon Jr. and sister, Maria Padilla.
He attended school in Del Rio and enlisted in the United States Army serving in Japan during WWII. After being honorably discharged from military service he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and later obtained employment with Producers Wool and Mohair Company. He remained with this company until his retirement at 62 years of age.
On December 6, 1953 he married Elida Molano, his sister’s best friend. They had three children, Norma, Juan and Olga.
Juan is survived by his daughters Dr. Norma Ramirez and Olga (Seferino Jr.) Gomez, his grandsons, Seferino (Lisa) Gomez III and Juan Gomez, Great-grandchildren, Seferino IV, Kalli and Jacob. His nephew, Oscar Padilla also survives him.
Family will be holding private services for Juan M. Ramirez.
