He was predeceased by : his parents, Benno Ahrens and Vera Ahrens; and his son Shannon Gene Ahrens. He is survived by : his wife Mary; his children, Daina (Mike Slover), Julie Skiles, Phillip Ahrens, Missy (Doug Christensen) and Reagan Ahrens; and his sisters, Aileen Hayes and Joyleen Ahrens. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
