Lecil (Dee) Warren, Class of 1969

Lecil D. (Dee) Warren joined his Lord on July 1, 2010 after a lengthy illness. He was born September 28, 1951 in Del Rio, Texas. He graduated from Del Rio High in 1969. He will be dearly missed by all, especially his wife Bonnie and his children; John of Del Rio, DeLynn and her significant other Brad Doss of Yuma, AZ and her son, Eric and his wife Courtney of Yuma, AZ, Everett and his wife Christal and children of Texas; his parents Lucky and Sarah Warren of Del Rio; his brother John and his children of Portugal; his sister Doe and her husband Mickey and their children of Hagerman, N.M; mother-in-law Lillian of Del Rio, Texas; brother-in-law Sam and his wife Debra Ashurst of New Braunfels, Texas and their children; also, by loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Dee loved his life to the fullest enjoying many hobbies. He loved his music, horses, hunting in the “high” country, fishing (especially for salmon in Alaska) and his travels. His employment with Lockheed and other Department of Defense contractors allowed him to travel extensively throughout the United Sates and the World. He especially loved his travels to castles of England and Germany, and times spent in Italy and Japan. He was blessed to have met made dear friends through his travels.

Pallbearers are Shayne Carter, Shawn Carter, Seth McFadden, Lee Elrod, Richard Wyman, Michael Warren, Armando Dominguez, and Lynn Robertson. Honorary pallbearer will be Mickey Carter.

Chapel service will be Tuesday, 2:00P.M, July 6, 2010 at G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel followed with private interment at Westlawn Cemetery. American Legion #595 will present Military Honors to the family. An open house will be held at the Warren residence from 6:00P.M-7:00P.M on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
