Louene E. Milam, 80, passed away December 21, 2013 in Del Rio, Texas.
She was born October 17, 1933 in Del Rio, Texas and grew up on a ranch
near Loma Alta.
She is survived by her husband Victor L. Milam; son: Gary Lee Milam and
wife Jodi of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Jessica, Austin and
Andrew. She was preceded in death by her son: Greg Milam.
She was active in sports and played Fast Pitch Softball. She graduated
from Sul Ross State University. She attained many awards from Boy Scouts
for many years of hard work which included Wood Bade, Silver Beaver and
Award of Merit. She was the Cub Scout Day Camp coordinator for 5 years.
Louene was married for 53 years and traveled all over the U S A and Asia
with her husband in the Air Force living in Japan for three years and
Taiwan for one.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, 6-9:00 p.m., December 26, 2013 at
G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be on
Friday, 2:00 p.m., December 27, 2013 at Westlawn Cemetery with Reverend
John Quigley officiating.
