Mary "Ellen" Humphreys Wallen (Class of 1960) Obituary

Mary “Ellen” Wallen, 73, of Dayton, died Monday, September 14, 2015, at the Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital in Liberty.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Graveside services held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at the Masonic Cemetery in Del Rio. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, prior to services, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Ellen was born February 23, 1942 in Del Rio, to parents; Sidney L. and Maudie Bell McNutt Humphreys. She was a former resident of Deer Park, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 44 years. She was a graduate of Del Rio High School, a homemaker, and member of Trinity Baptist Church. She also enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Mrs. Wallen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 54 years: Mack R. Wallen of Dayton, sons: Donald W. Wallen and wife Debra of Dayton and Mark R. Wallen and wife Julie of Cleburne, daughter: Lori A. Cohoon and husband Kevin of California, brothers: Sidney Leon Humphreys, Gary Wayne Humphreys, twin sister: Julia Helen Burk, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren two of whom she was rearing Tyler 3 and Ryan 2 , and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
