Patricia "Pat" King

August 21, 1935 - September 12, 2021

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Patricia "Pat" King, age 86, who passed away Sunday morning, September 12, 2021 at her residence in Youngsville. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services. A private family burial will be held after the service.

Reverend Chris Fuselier, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Youngsville, will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Fulgham and her husband David, and Edie Hunt and her husband Jay; her grandchildren, Robert Fulgham, Tricia Hedglin and husband Daniel, Rachel Dudley and husband Brodric, Lance King and wife Poroshat, Sky King, Katarina King, Lilliana Hale, Gene Hunt and wife Michelle, and Holly Hunt; her great-grandchildren, Jordan Dudley, Aubri Dudley, Mariah Fulgham, Layla Hedglin, Ava Hunt, Carter Hunt, Hadley Hunt, Mackenzie Mergist, Sean Herrington, and Julian King; and her half sister, Barbara Orr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles King; her parents, Louis Stewart and Ethel Paterson Self; and her son, Robert Louis King.

Pat was a native of Del Rio, Texas and graduated from Del Rio High School, and received her Associate Degree in Management from Tyler Junior College. She was a dedicated employee of Levi Strauss for many years working as a line manager in Tyler, Texas, and later with Magnolia Exterminating as a bookkeeper in Jackson, Mississippi. Her joys in life were bowling, fishing, traveling-especially cruises, craft making and sewing, and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.

Memorial contributions can be made in Patricia King's name to First Baptist Church of Youngsville or to the charity of your choice.

A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the King family to Dr. Britni Hebert and her staff, Pat's caregivers from Sr. Helpers, and the staff of Traditions Hospice.
