Robert Norvell Graham, Jr., age 87, joined the Eternal Chapter of the Sigma Chi on February 22, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on October 3, 1925 to Robert and Sarah Wyatt Graham in Oklahoma City, OK. Robert’s family moved to Del Rio, TX, where he grew up and graduated from Del Rio High School. He served in the Pacific during WWII on the naval medical ship U.S.S. Bountiful. Robert was a graduate of the University of Texas and of St. Mary’s University Law School. He was a Life Loyal Sig and member of BPOE lodge 837 in Del Rio, TX. He practiced law in San Antonio and the surrounding area for 50 years until illness made this impossible at the age of 86.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Linda C. Graham; grandson, Matthew Selwyn; nephews, James Graham and Robert P. Graham; and three brothers, Wyatt “Buddy”, William, and James Graham. He is survived by his daughters, Ann Marie Graham and Lynn Lucette Graham; grandchildren, Diana Selwyn and Christopher Selwyn; nieces, Martine Imon (Wayne), Linda Butcher (Rik), Janie Samfield (Jeff), Candy Hutto (Bo), Billie Lee Foster (Billy), Wanda Graham, Carolyn Lehman (Tom) and nephew Howard Duckworth.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to caregiver Ruth Washington and LVN Travis Maule for their extraordinary care of Mr. Graham throughout his illness.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Porter Loring on McCullough.
