Ruben D Hernandez
Ruben D. Hernandez, 70, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017. He was born in Del Rio, TX on June 10, 1947 to Alfredo and Cleodora Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ramiro Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Ruth Abrego of Del Rio, TX, Rachel Zapata and husband Leobardo of San Angelo, TX. Mr. Hernandez is also survived by his nieces Sofia Lemire of San Angelo, TX, Diana Abrego Delgado and husband Joe of Belton, TX, Ruth Abrego Duke and husband John of Converse, TX, Sylvia Ybarra and husband Smiley of New Braunfels, TX. Nephews Manuel Abrego Jr and wife Brenda of Del Rio, TX, Alfredo Abrego and wife Linda of San Antonio, TX, Felipe Abrego and wife Tammy of Kyle, TX, Marcos Abrego of Del Rio, TX, as well as his extended family of great nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM, Rev. Blas Perez officiating, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 10:15 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
