Terri Keller Marshall, 79, of Del Rio, TX passed away peacefully on December 4, 2014 in Del Rio, Texas. Terri was born on April 29, 1935 to Terrell and Lee Lorance Keller in Del Rio, Texas. She is survived by her sons: Noel Marshall of Altus, OK and Mark Marshall of Houston, TX: her sister: Evelyn Wicke of Nixon and Wimberley, TX and her brother: Dr. Charles W. Keller and wife Judith of Lubbock, TX. She attended Del Rio High School "the most beautiful girl on campus", drum major and class officer. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the University Texas, Terri returned to Del Rio and taught English and American History. She was an accomplished bowler and hunter. She married and had two children. In 1967 at the age of 32, her life took a sudden turn when she had a cerebral hemorrhage resulting in complete paralysis of the left side of her body. She recovered from a coma and began an arduous journey of rehabilitation. Although she would live with serious paralysis for the rest of her life, she learned to walk again with the aid of a leg brace and cane. She earned an advanced degree in Education which allowed her to become a Reading Clinician at Memorial Middle School. She loved helping children with reading difficulties excel in reading resulting in tremendous improvements in their overall educational and life success. Not satisfied with limiting herself to being a teacher, she also successfully sold real estate and was very active in her church. Terri taught confirmation classes for many years. Terri loved life, her church family at St. James Episcopal Church and her many neighbors and friends and caretakers in Del Rio who helped her to live independently up until 2012. Terri was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Lee Keller, Dorothy Parrott and Cornelia Davis. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm Saturday, December 13, 2014 at G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. James Episcopal Church followed with interment at the Masonic Cemetery.
