The author uses humor to encourage the reader to be brave, not fearful, of this time of life. Some things suggested and recommended are practical, others concern personal feelings and our interactions with people, and even the seriously important matters such as our health, our spiritual life in God, and our eternal destination.
Charlene Reams Manning is a Born Again Believer in Jesus, a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoys the outdoors and her animals. She grew up on the Mexican Border in Del Rio, Texas. Her two sons grew up there in a rural setting with horses, chickens, sheep, dogs and a cat named Duchess who lived with them 18 years. Now, with her husband Tony Manning, she makes her home in the Texas Hill Country north of Austin. Charlene has served in the Lord's ministry for 40 years.
