Recent Wildcat Forum posts, by three Alumni,
under School Memories, conveys how warm the
weather was and the softness of the field at the
1956 (55) El Paso football game.
Yep, Del Rio used to play El Paso, which is a
mere 419+ miles from Del Rio.
Beatrice (Brockwell) Ingalls, Class of 1942
found a promotional ruler from the local Humble
Oil Agent, H. M. Pettit, whereon the 1957 foot-
ball schedule was presented. Fortunately, Del
Rio played El Paso at home in '57.

*Denotes District Games How many of our Alumni remember traveling to El Paso to play, or watch a sports game (football, track, basketball etc)? Other Alumni would like to hear int- eresting stories, which could be posted on the forum, so that others could interact with questions, or comments. Does anyone remember the nickname that the Uvalde Coyotes placed on Del Rio High students? Do you remember seeing the nickname, on a banner, stretched across the Nueces River Bridge as we entered Uvalde for football games?
