There was a gathering of Old Del Rio High School grads on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Gruene Door Restaurant in Gruene Texas. The group is increasing in number and in diverse graduating dates from previous luncheons. Those present Wednesday included Max Stool, Gracie Lou (Daniels) Roberts, Carolyn (Wease) Brown, Yvonne (Reppeto) Ratliff, Dixie Dee (Harrison) Wallace and John Nyfeler, variously from New Braunfels, San Antonio, and Austin.
This was a chance to share stories and up-date on the high adventures of the lives of those present since the Maroon and Gold days. Old Wildcats of all graduating classes are welcome to come and recall why that old high school was (and still is) dear to our hearts. Luckily it is true that our memories selectively filter for a positive recollection.
The group elected to vacation in August. With the expectation that this event will continue to grow, the dutch lunch will re-convene on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:30 AM at the same restaurant. (2360 Gruene Lake Dr., New Braunfels 678130, 830.629.2600).
