Billie Jan Grannis Miller

Billie Jan Miller, 65, of College Station, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009 at St. Joseph Regional Center. Jan was born in Del Rio to William B. Grannis and Helen (Taylor) Grannis on September 10, 1943. She graduated from Del Rio High School in 1961. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. In 1983, she became a Certified Public Accountant. For the last 22 years she was controller for Texan Floor Service in Houston, Texas.
Jan was the family historian and enjoyed scrapbooking and genealogy, as well as reading and traveling. However, spending time with family and friends was her favorite pastime; good games, good food, and good company were sure to be involved. Jan was a very compassionate and caring person who delighted in the happiness of others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Jean Long and Jackie Buchanan, and a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Doris Langley.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Duane Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Theresa Collier; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Jesse Castro; stepdaughters, Dannette Young and husband John; Cindy Snowden and husband John; stepsons, Brodie Miller and wife Traca; Robert Miller; and many beloved grandchildren.
