CURTIS JAMES FAWCETT was born to Horace Keyes Fawcett, Sr. and ‘Dedo' York in Del Rio, Val Verde County, Texas on October 7, 1940. Curtis was reared in Del Rio, graduating from high school (1957). His first marriage was to Molly Cliett. Their two children are Neely James Fawcett (7/10/1970- ), and Daniel Morris Fawcett (9/11/1971- [TX Births 13:369]). From at least 1969 until after 1976 he was lived at Sherwood Shores, near Marble Falls, Burnet County, Texas. His second marriage was to Joyce Caffee Weir, who had a daughter, Sandy Weir, from a previous marriage. Their son, David Dean Fawcett, was born on April 29, 1986. Curtis retired from the Soil Conservation Service (1992). Curtis passed away in San Antonio, Texas where he resided and his ashes are buried in the family plot in Westlawn. C.J. was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, H.K Fawcett Jr.(1931-2008), David York Fawcett(1934-1976), sister Francis"Fran" Fawcett Paret(1933-2007)grand parents Dr. D.A.York M.D.(1867-1955), Helena Moore York(1872-1948) and aunt Montine York Weathersbee(1896-1974) Curtis is my second cousin!!!
