James Dewey Connolly, 70, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Hendrick Medical Center. Service of military honors will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, under direction of Abilene Funeral Home.
Mr. Connolly was born October 25, 1939, in Del Rio, Texas. He graduated from Del Rio High in 1957. He had been a resident of Abilene since 2001, moving here from New Braunfels. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran. He served in Berlin as a German interpreter / linguist as an intelligence agent.
Survivors include a son, James M. Connolly of Abilene; a daughter, Elizabeth Turenne of Florida; a sister, Susan of California; and three grandchildren, Isreal Bland of Florida, Cody J. Connolly of Abilene and Renee N. Connolly of Wisconsin.
