Jim Latham, 71, passed away in the presence of his loving family on
October 26, 2008 at a Kansas City Hospital. He was a long time resi-
dent of Robstown, Texas. Jim was born to John and Leita Latham. He
was born and raised in Del Rio, Texas. He held a master degree from
Sul ross University. Jim worked for many years for the Del Rio School
system.
He moved to Robstown where he retired from the Nueces County
Sheriff's Office. Jim enjoyed motorcycles, woodworking and socializing
with his friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Terra York of Kansas City, MO and
Lisa Bearden of Corpus Christi, TX; granddaughters Rachelle and
Selena York of Kansas City; a great-granddaughter Lylah Dawn; two
nephews, John and Taylor Latham and niece Katrina Gentry all of
Corpus Christi, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and his
only brother, Dr. John Latham of Robstown, TX. Jim will be missed by
many.
A private memorial service was held in Kansas City. There is no additional service planned.
