Jimmy Bradley, Inductee

Jimmy F. Bradley, an Eagle Scout of 1960, a Del Rio High Alumni (Wildcats) of 1961 and Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University) Class of 1967, will be inducted into the Bobcat Hall of Fame.

Bradley will join former resident Richard Castro into the Hall.

The ceremonies will be held at the Paul Poag Theater for the Performing Arts on December 17th at 7 P.M.

The Texas State University award winning Jazz, Mariachi and Salsa bands will put on a concert in honor of this event, which is hosted by the Del Rio Bobcat Alumni Association and is a major scholarship fundraiser for Del Rio High School (Rams) graduating seniors who will be attending Texas State University, San Marcos.

Bradley’s career in law enforcement began with U. S. Customs in 1970. In 1973, he was transferred to the newly formed Drug Enforcement Administration and was sent to the D.E.A. National Training Institute in Washington D.C. as a course/developer/instructor.

In 1978 he left the United States for Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico as the Senior Special Agent.

In 1981, Bradley was transferred to Laredo, Texas to provide assistance to the Resident Agent-in-Charge and lead investigations from Columbia through Mexico.

He spent 180 days in Bolivia on special detail and was transferred to the D.E.A. office in La Paz, Bolivia where he wrote and controlled special intelligence programs.

Bradley also worked with the President of Bolivia, the United States Air Force and was later appointed the President of the American School Board in Bolivia.

Bradley left for the U.S. Embassy in Asuncion, Paraguay where he established a new D.E.A. office in 1988, served in numerous committees dealing with international matters and presented several policies that were adopted by the Paraguayan Congress as law. In 1988, Bradley was back in Texas as the Supervisory Special Agent of the Houston D.E.A. regional office.

He was responsible for supervising 22 state, local and federal criminal investigators as well as nine support personnel.

Today, Bradley works for the State Department and trains foreign governments in Anti-Terror Assistance in many disciplines.

He has taught in more than 40 different foreign countries and helps their government’s combat terror.

This summary of qualifications does not do Bradley justice as there is much more information that cannot be discussed publically.
