Thane Salter

Classmate and friend to many, Thane Salter passed away August 15, 2008. Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Hollywood Community Church in Amarillo, TX.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hollywood Road
Community Church with Wyley Chaney officiating. Arrangements
are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Thane was born July 11, 1937, in Del Rio, to Otis and Reba Salter.
He was a firefighter for Pantex.
His best times were spent with his family and friends. He loved
fishing, hunting, gardening and was the ultimate outdoors man. He
will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Augusta Salter; a daughter, Michelle
Little ad husband John of San Antonio; a son Tam Boatler and
Wanda Chesser or Amarillo; a sister, Janet Wilhite of Lake
Tanglewood; three gransons, Cory and Taylor Ryan of San Antonio
and Tyson Boatler of Amarillo; a beloved godchild, Brittany
Bengston of Amarillo; nieces and nephews; a host of friends;
and his entire firefighter family.
